Duties and responsibilities:

Secretariat of National Commission of the People's Republic of China for UNESCO is under the Ministry of Education of China. Its responsibilities include:

i. Coordinating and assisting the cooperation and exchange in the fields of education, science and technology and culture between the Commission (and other departments and bodies) and the UNESCO;

ii. Maintaining contact and exchange with UNESCO headquarters, regional offices and the national commissions of other member countries.
